Prior to joining the Office of Strategic Consulting as a project coordinator, Vanessa Herald managed outreach programs in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences at UW–Madison for 10 years. In this work, she led food system and public-health research and outreach initiatives across Wisconsin and the Midwest with a focus on grant writing and administration, project evaluation, network development, training, resource creation, and virtual event coordination. Prior to her time at UW–Madison, Vanessa worked in the fields of sustainability, arts, and youth education.
Vanessa holds a bachelor’s degree in linguistics from Yale University and a master’s degree in nutrition from Tufts University. She is a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
