University of Wisconsin–Madison

Lean Six Sigma

Description:

This is a four-day course. We typically schedule the course to run in two, two-day blocks in consecutive weeks.

We have identified Lean Six Sigma, a combination of two process improvement strategies, as the redesign methodology with the strength and scale needed for cross-campus process redesign. Instructors from UW-Madison’s School of Business and College of Engineering have designed our curriculum and are teaching the Lean Six Sigma courses from a service organization perspective. The four-day course not only prepares redesign team members in advance of their redesign work, it also provides Lean Six Sigma training to individuals seeking a general understanding of the concepts.
