Evan O’Brien joined UW–Madison’s Office of Strategic Consulting in March 2019 as a program coordinator in the Project Portfolio Management Office (PPMO). In this role, he is responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and preparing various information and reports related to his assigned program; ensuring the program team is working collaboratively and cohesively; and assisting the program manager with monitoring the program’s progress, budget, hours, and schedule.
Before coming to UW, Evan was the operations manager for Ady Advantage, an economic development and site selection consultancy based in Madison, Wisconsin. While with Ady Advantage, he served primarily in a leadership and management capacity. Among other responsibilities, he helped the president run the company, which included managing company sales and marketing activities. During his time as operations manager, Ady Advantage’s revenue doubled, as did the size of its staff.
Evan earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from UW–Milwaukee in 2010. In 2016, he received a certificate in graphic design from Madison College. He is currently working to obtain a Certified Associate in Project Management certification from the Project Management Institute.
