Dr. Tamala Bradham has more than 25 years of experience in health care and higher education.
Prior to coming to UW–Madison, Dr. Bradham was at Vanderbilt University Medical Center for 17 years where she served in a variety of leadership roles. Her responsibilities in these roles included overseeing all services for children with hearing loss developing spoken communication; teaching medical students and directing over 300 quality improvement projects across the medical center; and consulting on various quality improvement and patient safety initiatives to improve services and outcomes. Dr. Bradham earned her bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Columbia College, master’s degree in audiology from the University of South Carolina, Ph.D. in hearing and speech sciences from the University of South Carolina, and her doctorate of health administration (DHA) in leadership and health policy from the Medical University of South Carolina. She holds several certifications in quality improvement and patient safety.
