The Office of Strategic Consulting was formed by the merger of the Office of Quality Improvement and the Administrative Process Redesign office, which took effect August 1, 2017.
The Office of Strategic Consulting reports to the Provost’s Office, with additional accountability to the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration. This reporting structure reflects our commitment to – and support of – both the academic and the administrative units on campus. We serve as internal UW-Madison consultants, providing expertise in a number of areas that help support and advance the mission, vision, and goals of the university as a whole, as well as those of its individual schools, colleges, and divisions. One of our own goals is to help facilitate alignment of the strategic priorities within the schools, colleges, and divisions with the university’s strategic priorities, as outlined in the Campus Strategic Framework 2015-2019.
We recognize the diverse needs of the different campus units we serve and do our best to address those needs in how we approach our work.
